If you are using the Modern Masters products sold here on our site to make that copper patina OR the rusted iron - this is the top coat you apply at the end of all the steps.
Top with other varnishes to add durability.
Once this has applied and thoroughly dried - then - apply a varnish to increase a top coat, if desired. So, for example- if you are doing a decorative back plate to the inside of your jutch- I would just do the Xtreme Permacoat. If you are doing a floor, I would use Annie's Lacquer. Just make sure to FOLLOW the instructions on how to use the Lacquer properly!
Also, please note ~ there are NO RETURNs when it comes to paint/ paint products. Think about it- would you ever want a quart of paint or Modern Masters sent to you - that was shipped to someone else prior? We eliminate any potential issues with this policy.
