According to Annie, Honfleur is named after a seaside harbour town in Normandy and inspired by rich warm browns found in the rustic French countryside and mid-20th century design. This colour works brilliantly with the popular mid century modern style. It looks great combined with Scandinavian Pink, Barcelona Orange, Giverny, Provence, Greek Blue and Antibes Green. It’s also elegant and classical with pastel Louis Blue and pretty Antoinette.
The Purple Painted Lady® is so proud of Nancy Teismann!!! She used Annie Sloan's newest color called Honfleur and did a Coco wash with her Chalk Paint® on her stairs to create an aged rustic stained effect shown in one of the photos here! Then she finished them with Annie's Lacquer- made for high traffic floors! If you have a situation where you want a stain look- but would rather use paint- or have a piece with damage- paint will cover it!
Don’t forget when purchasing Chalk Paint® Decorative Paint by Annie Sloan- to consider purchasing her Clear Wax also. Annie’s paint and wax were created to partner perfectly together! The paint itself will harden but the wax will truly protect it! The wax does completely harden and it becomes hard and is water repellent. It is a wonderful protective finish that you can buff once dry- to the sheen you desire.

The 4 ounce sample pot can cover between 14 and 17 square feet of surface. That equates to about 3 dining chairs...maybe more depending on how thick you apply your paint and how many coats you need. And actually if you thin it with a little water ~ it will go even further!
So, if you want to try a little Chalk Paint® first...or just need a small amount of color to accent a piece...or have a small piece to paint - than these are for you!
