Damson is a deep purple. It is not quite as deep as the band, Deep Purple, but it is named after a variety of plum. This shade of purple can take on different identities depending on the colors surrounding it.
Gilders Paste is a wax-based medium used to highlight metal, wood, ceramics, polymer clay, bisque, candles, gourds and more! Often times, when the wax hardens after being poured, the paste can crack, so don't be surprised if yours arrives that way. We recommend adding mineral spirits or turpentine to soften the paste and make it more brush-able!
Apply Gilders Paste with finger, sponge, toothbrush, paintbrush or cloth in a rubbing motion or use other creative mediums to produce a unique finish. Layer on top of one another or mix to create different finishes or an endless color palette. Thin out with paint thinner to transform the highly concentrated Gilders Paste for brushing, sponging, staining, washing or spray painting.
